Palmer Station LTER Education and Outreach program engages in partnerships that provide unique opportunities to facilitate the sharing of scientific data and experiences from site research. These opportunities inspire the development of interdisciplinary projects where educational materials are developed based on ongoing, in-depth scientific inquiries that are currently being investigated by Palmer LTER scientists. These interdisciplinary projects simulate the challenges that scientists face when analyzing and interpreting long-term content and processes. Each project is enriched not only by the interactions between scientists, educators, students and technicians but also by the resources and data that help build the context for learning.
