I've blocked out times but I expect the schedule to remain flexable. There are some items that will require both discussion and conclusions prior to leaving the meeting, so as suggested by Bill, we'll keep some "open time" to make sure that we tie up loose ends prior to departure. Typicall, we'll do science in the AM with all parties and use the afternoon for PI's to meet and the grads & techs to work on data etc. Ray Wednesday 17 May - all arrive - Charleen has sent out arrival times - Dave has provided directions below (CAPS) & will pick up first group (10:55 am arrivals) from airport - Doug will rent car and coordinate with Bill (10:30PM) - no scheduled activities YOU WILL ALL BE STAYING AT LINCOLN HALL, AT THE EAST WEST CENTER ON THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII AT MANOA CAMPUS. ALL CAB DRIVERS KNOW THE PLACE. IF YOU ARRIVE BEFORE 9PM, SIMPLY GO TO THE EWC LINCOLN HALL WHERE YOU CAN CHECK IN AT THE FRONT DESK. PLEASE ASK THE RECEPTIONIST FOR YOUR PACKAGE. IN IT WILL BE A MAP OF CAMPUS WITH LOCATION OF THE MARINE SCIENCE BUILDING WHERE WE WILL HOLD OUR MEETING. THERE WILL ALSO BE A LOCAL MAP SHOWING THE LOCATION OF LOCAL EATERIES AND PUBS THAT ARE WITHIN WALKING (5-20 MIN) DISTANCE. I WILL BE AT A FACULTY MEETING ON WED AFTERNOON BUT FEEL FREE TO CALL ME (956-8964/946-055) IF YOU NEED HELP. CHRIS CARRILLO CAN ALSO BE REACHED AT WORK AT 956-3327.
