  FAQs:

I am constantly being asked questions about Antarctica, so I figured I'd take the more popular questions and post them so everyone hears the answers. If you have a question that's not on this page, feel free to email me at tbrox@att.net and ask.
Have you seen any polar bears yet?
No I have not seen any polar bears in Antarctica and I am positive I will not see any polar bears here.  There are absolutely no polar bears in Antarctica since they are native to the Arctic.  Meaning they stay in the North.

How many hours each day is the sun out?
During the summer season (October through February) there is continuous sunlight.  Meaning the sun stays out all day.  When I got to Antarctica in late October, the last sunset had already happened for 2001 and now the sun is out until the next sunset, which isn't until February 22, 2002.
