DataZoo Integrative Information Environment
DataZoo Information System
The Palmer LTER field sampling program generates a wide variety
of data. The highly-structured data such as hydrographic bottle
data (e.g. temperature, salinity, transmittance, and
fluorescence), biogeochemical measures from bottle samples
(biomass, bacteria) along with rate measurements (production,
sedimentation) as well as biological counts (bird, zooplankton,
and phytoplankton) are brought together into the DataZoo
information system. Data can be queried, plotted, and
downloaded.

Hydrographic CTD Processed Data
The CTD (Conductivity, Temperature, Depth) instrument deployed
with a rosette of bottles is generally profiled at each station
on the grid. These data are available with the temperature and
salinity data quality controlled and binned as 1 meter
'standard' files containing data from the full suite of
instruments (e.g. transmittance, fluorescence, etc). Highly
quality controlled temperature and salinity data are available
as 's87' files.

Hydrographic CTD Field Data (working)
The CTD (Conductivity, Temperature, Depth) instrument deployed
with a rosette of bottles is generally profiles at each station
on the grid. These data are available as field generated data
that have not been quality controlled. Also available are the
field log sheets and plots.

Hydrographic CTD T-S Plot Collection
Plots of the processed temperature and salinity data are
available in a number of formats for browsing on the web:
profiles, TS diagrams, contours and maps.
|
Hydrographic CTD Spatial-Temporal Variability Plot Collection
Spatial-temporal variability plots created through principle
component analysis and optimal analysis are available for a
whole grid view of the physics, biology, and ice.
