Welcome to the Palmer Long-Term Ecological Research (LTER) data repository. We encourage you to investigate the data sets available at our site. These data sets are a focal point for scientific and educational interchange between the PAL LTER investigators and interested users in the research, educational and other sectors. If you are interested in using any of our data files, please contact the Principal Investigator of record as indicated in the specific dataset description. In the spirit of simple courtesy and in light of the significant time and effort expended to design, collect and archive these data sets, outside data users should consider collaboration options including coauthorship with the data contributor(s).
Data Use Policy
The data available here are intended for scholarly use by the academic
research community, with the express understanding that data users will
properly acknowledge the originating investigator. Use or reproduction
of any are herein for any commercial or redistribution purposes is prohibited
without prior written permission from the Palmer Antarctica LTER.
Data Acknowledgement Policy
The following citation should be included in any use of the data
from the LTER Palmer archive:
"Data from the Palmer LTER data archive were supported by Office of Polar Programs, NSF Grants OPP-9011927, OPP-9632763 and OPP-0217282."
